I Made A Mermaid
I made a Mermaid
She is definatley OOAK, just like the person she was made for.
I loosely used the pattern link you'll find below all the pictures
I struggle with faces when ever I make dolls - I decided to go with eyes only - green eyes that matched the recepients eye color
This project was a labor of L O V E and all I can say is I prefer to knit Gnomes

Dishcloth
Lacy Goodness
Hook: Size G
Yarn: Cotton Yarn
Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, dc
EASY
Row 1 - Ch 40, (dc, ch 2, sc) in 4th ch from hook. * sk next 3 chs, (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch. Rep from * across. Ch 2, turn.
Rows - 2-19 (dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp. (2 dc, ch 2, sc) in each rem ch 2 sp. Ch 2,turn.
Row 20- (dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp. (2 dc, ch 2, sc) in each rem ch 2 sp.
Fasten Off

Lion Brand Cotton Ease Yarn: Red
7” of 1.5”wide lace
Alligator Clip
Crochet Hook Size: F
sc = single crochet
ss = slip stitch
hdc = half double crochet

This is how I make my Hearts:
Form magic circle
9 sc into magic circle
ss into 1st sc to join, Chain 1
skip 1, 5 hdc into next sc
sc into next 2 stitches,
1 hdc into next stitch {Center},
sc in next 2 stitches
5 hdc into next stitch, chain 1
Ss into joining stitch {Center}, fasten off, cut, leave 2” tail, move tail to back of work
Pull magic circle closed, tie loose ends together trim excess
Finished
Wings
With a dot of hot glue join 7” of lace to form a circle, fold, wrap center and tie with dental floss or thread, this forms a bow which becomes “wings”
Hot glue lace wings to the back of heart
Hot glue small alligator clip to the center and you are done.
