The Whitney Headband - DIY - Easy Pattern

My version of this CUTE-  CUTE - CUTE winter headband





Headband & Rose Pattern
by FGC

Knit "Look" Headband
CROCHET VERSION:
Using size H or I Hook and Micheals Loops & Thread Charisma Yarn Pictured
Chain 14
Double Crochet into 3rd chain from hook and in every stitch until the end of chain
(13 Double Crochet Posts)
Chain 2 Turn
Double Crochet into the Back Loop Only across until the last Double Crochet Post - Double Crochet into the the whole Double Crochet Post stitch
Chain 2 Turn
Repeat the process of crocheting into the back loops except the last stitch maintianing 13 double crochet posts across - Until band measures 18"
Fold piece in half and single crochet together to join - this should make the piece appear to be a knitted "In the Round" headband

(Similar to the headband as seen worn by Whitney Port in theis blog post)
KNIT VERSION:
Using Size 11 or 13 Knitting needles
Hold 2 strands of light or medium weight yarn together (I used vanna's choice)
CO 16 Stitches
First 2 Rows are straight knitting
Row 3 – Knit, Purl, Knit, Purl, Knit 8, Purl, Knit, Purl, Knit
Row 4 – Purl, Knit, Purl, Knit, Purl 8, Knit, Purl, Knit, Purl
Repeat Row 3 & 4 until Piece Measures 16”
Knit last 2 rows
Bind Off
Whip Stitch together, Weave in loose ends
Finished
Rose
Make 1
With G or H Hook and single strand of headband yarn
Chain 40
3 single crochets in 2nd chain from hook
1 Single Crochet in next chain stitch
3 Half double Crochets in next chain stitch and in every other stitch - Single Crochet in the stitches between HDC clusters until the end - bind off
Form a round rose by hot gluing onto a 3.5" round circle of felt - hot glue a alligator to the back
or
Attach Rose to headband by stitching in place

  3. This crochet hairband looks super cute! I absolutely love crochet too—I actually learned it from my best friend. But right now, my dissertation is in full swing, and I’m getting it done with the help of dissertation help online, so I haven’t had any time for crocheting lately. Once I’m finally done and can relax a bit, I’m definitely going to try making this hairband. It’s too adorable to miss
